Kasun Tharaka Wickramasuriya is a Senior Manager of Capacity Building for the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), National Coordinator for the UN IGF in Sri Lanka, and ICANN Fellow. He is actively engaged to build capacity on Internet Governance among the Sri Lankan and Asia Pacific IG practitioners, and he is a Member of the Asian, Australasian, and Pacific Islands Regional At-Large Organization (APRALO) of ICANN, Member of Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG), and a Member of Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) Multi-Stakeholder Group.
He is also the former Secretary of the Internet Society Sri Lanka Chapter (ISOC-LK) (2018/2019 and 2019/2020) and has represented the ISOC–LK executive committee from 2013 to 2022. He is a highly competent ICT Professional, Transformation Strategist, and Community Development Expert with extensive experience in the ICT and Internet Governance sector. He has over 14 years of experience in the corporate, public, and development sectors. He is also an experienced mentor with competencies in ICT capacity building, digital transformation, digital inclusion, digital economy, digital education, change management, community informatics, and Internet governance.
He is a member of CSSL, IMSL, HISSL, ISOC and Sakura Science Club Japan.
