Waruna Sri Dhanapala is a senior officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (Civil Service) with over 24 years’ of experience in multiple duty stations of the Government of Sri Lanka.
Currently, he is the Director General (Acting) of the Data Protection Authority Sri Lanka and working as an Additional Secretary (Regional Administration Reforms)Additional Secretary (Regional Administration Reforms) Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government. Possesses multiple skills and academic qualifications in public policy, development project, and programme management, leadership, public administration and management, diplomacy, international development perspectives, ICT/digitalization and data protection.
